I am going to bosnia and was wondering what i should expect there?

I am 16 and going to bosnia with my mom to visit my family. Most of my family lives there and i was wondering what to expect there from the people there, the culture, and what i can do that i cant in the united states

They don't have Burger King, Kentucky's, McDonalds or anything similar to these. So just forget about American style fast food for a while. Stuck with cevapis.

Oh, but they have some really nice pizza houses. (Italian style)

Forget about watching block buster movies in the movie theaters, also.

No big shopping malls.

People are generally friendly. But if you don't know their language, it will be hard to communicate, 'cause most of the population do not know English. But since you have relatives there, I am sure they'll take care of you.

I've been to Sarajevo and Mostar, these are lovely places, enjoy your stay.

I was in Sarajevo last year for a few days and it was really nice. The people were so friendly and the town itself is beautiful! As the last replyer said, you wont find any fast food places there. And admittidly, if you are a picky eater you might find it difficult to find someting you would like. That being said, there were a few restaurants catering for westernized tastes with pastas, pizzas and roasts. But why eat them when you can eat the local kebabs and cevapicis?! There was also a lovely market where you find really nice jewellery, scarves etc - enjoy it!

yea im bosnian 2 and when i visited unfortunately only did stuff i do in U.S basically go on computer ,play futbol(soccer) play Xbox,and walk around down town but i could have gone 2 a fortress,and para glide u should just look 4 stuff that look 4 stuff nonamerican ohh and sense bosnia is mostly muslim that annoying pray call or whatever will wake u up if ur a light sleeper god that drove me crazy!! :D and yea the food restaurants are different but u can order some bigg ******* pizzas there
