i am away to canada in 2 weeks if i need a voltage converter is it chepaer to buy one in canada than the uk

  1. It's probably easier to pick it up at the airport in the UK before you leave.

    Is a straighter something to do with hair? Check the websites of where you're staying. Most hotels in Canada provide hair dyers in the rooms.


  2. i don't know where it would be cheaper to buy the converter but if the straightener is the only electrical thing you are going to use it might be cheapest to pick one up when you get there. I'm sure you could get one for about $20-25 CDN. They would be very common there- any pharmacy or department store would sell them.

  3. Cheaper and easier to find in the UK.

    Most store here have them for outbound travelers (ie. converters for NA to EU, but not EU to NA).

    @everyone: Hair straighteners are not hair dryers! Soooooo not the same thing. Straighteners straight hair which is already dry, and is often curly/wavy (I can't live without mine!)
