I am going to cancun the first week of may, is it going to be wild like spring break?

Cancun is a resort town that always draws the party crowd. However, it will not be as crowded as during spring break. That being said, do not worry, you will have a great time meeting all sorts of fun people while you are down there. You can do a party package like the other poster suggested, however I recommend you check with the activities staff at your hotel because they often organize these events. What will happen is, you will pre-pay, get better treatment, move through the lines faster and have a better time, it's a win, win situation.

No it will be nice and there is always bars and places to party at night or afternoon for that matter.

I went same time last year.  It will not be crowded but still have plenty of ppl to party with.  Make sure you pay the 65 dollars and do the bar hopping tour. Ask for Reno, he is cool.  Also check out Coco Bongos.  Just dont drink to much the first day.... you will get sick very early in the vacation.  Try the oxygen bar at Senior Frogs.
