  1. idk, nv been there

  2. Jeans (or alike) and if you like to wear them shorts or skirts but you will find that unless it is really hot Europeans do not tend to wear those as often.

T-shirts, some tops that are more open, long sleeved shirts.

Sweater, or maybe two if you stay longer.

Comfortable shoes, you will walk on them all day, almost every day. Best are shoes that you already walk in a lot.

Second pair of shoes, this can be slippers for bathroom use if you use hostels, or nice shoes to go out at night, but bring more than just one pair of shoes as your feet will be killing you when you come in at night.

    Underwear and socks.

Bikini or swimsuit, (does not take a lot of space but you will regret it if you do not have it with you when you see a sunny beach or nice swimming pool.)

Light jacket, should be wind proof and if possible rain proof, otherwise add an umbrella too.

Towel and a small toilet bag with mini botles of your shampoo and showergel.

This seems a lot, but if you choose wise and take only a few each you can pack rather small.

My second pair of shoes are mostly flipflops, that pack flat and have little weight. Two pair of lightweight jeans and when they get dirty, do a wash.

If you stay for more than 2 weeks you can not take enough for all kinds of weather and still be able to move. So better take less and leave space for a few 'souvenir' T-shirts and do a wash when you run out of clean stuff.

Take your camera, mobile phone and their chargers, (check whether you need a converter or just an universial plug adapter) and leave all your hair dryer and alike home, (most hotels have them or pick one up cheap at a store here.)

  3. august is still warm in europe, although the difference in weather between britain is different than italy for example

italy will still be fairly hot, austria and switzerland will be rainy and britain and france will be a bit of both (warm but high chance of rain)

pack anything you would normally wear, but with a few sweaters and definately a waterproof jacket

hope this helps and have a great trip!!
