I am going to feed the homeless?

Question

I am going to feed the homeless tomorrow with a church. But the thing is it isn't MY church. I invited a friend to come so I wouldn't be ALL by myself but she can't go. I am afride that I am going to be all alone. because it's from 5:15pm to 10:15pm and I know we are feeding homeless people and don't need to worry but before everyone is talking and we are going to eat. I am 13 so I am afride that I might be the youngest. I am not a shy person if I know people but when I don't I kinda am. Please help

that's really nice of you to be active to help others...don't worry about it...you will meet new friends and you will be blessed to be a part of something that makes a difference in someones life....continue being a caring person....

Do not be afraid. It is such a rewarding experience when you realize that you have taken that first step out of your comfort zone to help someone else. I have volunteered in homeless shelters for about 30 years now, and as I have discovered, you will be very welcomed, and there will be many there to help you through the process. You will make many friends both through the other volunteers and the homeless people themselves. Just put your self pride away, and concentrate on what you can do to make a difference in some one's life. You will do just fine. Relax and have fun....Rev. Dr. Ed
