  1. Use your free time to travel around the country. Make a good plan so as to the get the chance to visit most ofit. Start with the important cities: Rome, Florence itself, Bologna, Venice, Turin and Milan. Then move to the smaller but nice ones: Siena, Orvieto, Assisi, Modena, Parma and so forth...however you have to find out first how is your schedule going to be. I've met many students who are studying abroad and for some of them time is pretty tight.

  2. well let me tell you...you are about to have an AWESOME semester...i was stationed about 2 hours north of firenze and went there all the time     the nightlife is a blast......i would suggest going to JJ's Cathedral, Robin Hood's, Spacetek Electronica and the Shot Bar  they are all ton's of fun     go to the beach called Rimini   its on the adriatic sea  go during august because that is when the most international travelers will be there    always travel 1st class on the trains its only a few euro more and sooooo worth it..........say goodbye to light beer haha

  3. ahaha.. nice question.. i'm italian, from Turin, north-west of Florence...

I've been there some times, well, i can't tell you what do for fun in few words..

my advice is to know lot of people, it won't be so hard, we really like foreign people, it won't be difficult..

then start to go out with them, go to discos, pubs, clubs exc exc... and everything will be fun.. remember that Italy is the best place to have fun =p

    hope you'll like..

    ciao
