I am going to get three gerbils. Need help. ?

I am going to get 3 gerbils and put them in a 20 long tank. My question is, how large of portions of fruit/vegetables should I feed each gerbil. I know that if you feed them too much, they will get diarrhea so I need help.

Good for you gerbils are one of the best pets,

Her is want I do with my gerbils,

Everyday I give them dried gerbil/hamster food (the ones you get in the pet shops) than once a week i every them a bowl of fruit and vegetables ( as in a bit of apple, banana and vegetables)

after a day I take in out sometimes I have to find it,

Gerbils hind there food than they don't eat so it there later, You don't you don't have to worry about them getting fat.

As long as you feed a good gerbil/hamster mix to them, fresh fruits and veggies aren't necessary. If you really want to give them fresh food, though, 1-2 times a week is fine. The portion should be VERY small. I'd say about the size of two gerbil fists put together is large enough. What we consider small for us to eat is much too large for them.

I don't know quite alot about gerbils but I'm happy that you're looking into it first, good job. :)

no do not feed them fruit and veggies because they save food and it molds then they eat it and die so buy gerbil pellets at a pet store then feed each gerbil 2 pellets
