would it be ok if i used paper towels for the bottom while they are babies?

  2. i have 2 of them and i went to the pet store and bought a bag of sand for the bottom and they seem to love it

  3. That would actually be best!

    Babies are at a high risk of impaction then adults.

    And when they are adults, use a reptile carpet, slate rocks, or some other form of substrate. You can even stick with paper towels if you would like!!

    Paper towels are good. Non adhesive shelf liner is ok. And tiles are great. They carry heat well.

  5. OK, and really beneficial.

    No risk of impaction, no risk of catching a claw/ripping a toe on the different "cage mats" they have out.

    I know breeders who only use papertowels.
