I am going to high school this year?

and I want to do something more than that though. I want to be more challenged I guess. I wanted to go to boarding school, but it is too expensive since my parents are only paying for college. Is there someway I could make 40,000 dollars in a year to go to boarding school next year? I tried looking up classes I could take in a community college this year but none of them are right. Is there anything for me to stretch into? I want to do something more in life then just go to high school right now? Is there anything I can do?

I can't really tell you where you can come up with $40,000 in a year because that's what some adults make working full time but I would definitely recommend finding some place to volunteer.  There are lots of places you could do that and volunteering is very rewarding.  It'll make you feel really good about yourself and you'll get the opportunity to meet people and learn from them.

Homeless shelters, soup kitchens, non-profit organizations, churches, you name it.

You could also learn a new skill (or utilize one you already have) and use it to benefit others...  For example, I like to sew baby quilts and donate them to shelters for battered women and places like that.  It makes me feel good and I know it will have a positive effect on the person that receives it as well.

I'm about to go in to highschool myself, and I made the mistake at first of thinking that the start of high school meant I had to shift my life in to high gear.  I thought I had to have my college major and career planned, my entire life and all my classes mapped out.  I worried about making the right desicions and not taking enough oportunities.  Just know that high school is tough enough.  You are expecting a lot of yourself.  Take some time to discover your interests and learn to adapt before making any serious life changes.
