  1. there are two audio output jacks, one says "speaker" and the other says "PA".

On the radio, there is a switch that says "PA".

When you select that switch and turn it to PA, you can talk in to the microphone and be heard thru the PA speaker.

The audio output is directly off the AM modulator (and since half of your power is in the modulator, the audio output power will be 1/2 of the rated RF output of the AM transmitter).

If you want to hear the radio receiver, you need to plug into the "speaker" jack. You can use a quality stereo speaker to get the best the radio has to offer. CAUTION: The radio is rated at 8ohm. If you start to add speakers, take extreme care not to go lower than 4 ohms and if you go higher than 16 ohms, you will start to defeat the purpose of more speakers.

  2. You'll have the same power driving them so I doubt you'll be able to tell any difference between 1 speaker or 2.
