I am going to move from a 3 bedroom house to a one bedroom unit, any advise?

Keep the biggest bed.

Get rid of 90% of your stuff, you will not be able to fit any of it in the new space.

Keep it simple in decorating.

One word, garage sale. If you don't need it to live, sell it, donate it, don't move it. The less you have the simpler and happier your life will be.

Been there done that, and believe me, you will be awed and amazed how much stuff you have stuffed in drawers and closets.  Stuff you probably don't REALLY REALLY need.  

So, consider a yard sale, if time permits.

Dont over clutter your home....less is more....put all uneccesary bulky items into storage.

Lots of Wicker and Rattan, and hanging plants everywhere...

(And make sure your bedboard is away from the wall, so you won't disturb the neighbors when you're...well...you know...)

Seriously, you're going to have a lot less space in the 1BR unit, so go through your "stuff" ("If it's ours, it's stuff -if it's someone else's, it's junk" -George Carlin) & see if there's any you haven't used in at least a year. If so, throw it out or have a yard sale rather than transporting it (unless it's a priceless antique, or something else really valuable).
