I am going to my dad's over the summer and I was wondering if I can bring a shaving razor in a check-in bag?

I have flown several times this summer, and only had a carryon as luggage.  I brought my razor through 3 diff. airports without a problem. the only thing I would advise is using travel size bottles for your shampoo, etc.  That was only restrictions that I came across.

According to TSA's site, you can bring it in your carry on.

you should be able to bring it with you without a problem in the check-in bag that goes under the plane, just not the carry on. You may even be able to bring it on with the carry on, but i would go with the safer side and put it in the check in

If you going by aircraft you are allowed it in you suitcase that will be taken on board the plane by the airport staff. You are Not allowed it atall in your personal bag you will be taking on board.
