I am going to my friend in Scotland, how can i get the cheaperst tickets by plane

i live in S Petersburg, Russia, can my friend buy me an airplane ticket there in Scotland and send it by e-mail? will it be cheaper?

There are no direct flights from Russia to Scotland, but KLM St Petersburg-Amsterdam-Glasgow will be the best and probably cheapest option for you.

Underground: The Glasgow Underground has twin tunnels providing a circular service linking 15 stations. Trains are frequent (approximately one every five minutes), and tickets are cheap, but must be bought in advance of the journey either from a machine or from the ticket office at the station.

Rail: An extensive network of regular and frequent local rail services operates in Glasgow, its suburbs and the West of Scotland. Most suburbs and towns within this area are accessible by train. If you are staying outside Glasgow and do not want to drive into the city, you can use the 'Park-and-Ride' system, which allows free parking at suburban rail stations, where you then continue your journey by train. CCTV protects most of the parking facilities - the Park-and-Ride also operates at four Glasgow Underground stations.

To add to what Joneff said....you can also get a flight via Amsterdam to Edinburgh (the Capital) or Aberdeen.  

This sounds a bitt dodgy to me.  My borther married a girl from Eastern Ukraine.  I hope if you are coming here as a tourist you will enjoy our country.

I don't know if KLM is the cheapest option (maybe Air France of Lufthansa) but I always fly with KLM & the service is second to none.

KLM do electronic tickets, so your friend would buy it in your name & send you the e-mail.

Out of interest I married a Brasilian girl & she always paid her own way when coming here before we got married.  I hope it works out for you.
