Its not much, probably less than 10 euros return - check out the SNCF website http://www.sncf.com

I cant say exactly how much it is but it really is not expensive.  I was in nice and did exactly that, got the train to monaco.  It took around 40 mins and I think it was around 15 Euros.  Have fun you will love it there.

i have checked, i have taken a date and it doesn't cost a lot less than 10 euros

Two months ago, the trains between Nice and Monte Carlo were every half hour and a round-trip ticket was about 8 euros.
