What should I wear? I also have a hubby who wants to know general "rules" .. Like do they sell concession stuff and can you eat or drink in the theatre. Is there a gift shop or anything that you get for free along with your tickets. I have never been to this kind of an affair and need help!!! Please give me the 411.

Well, what theatre are you going to?  Different theatres have different rules, but I would say that no, most theatres do not allow you to bring food or drink inside the theatre itself.  In the concession area/lobby if fine, but not inside.  

As for what to wear, if it's an evening performance, nice slacks/skirt/dress/Sunday Best.  For a matinee, more casual, but PLEASE no jeans, shorts, miniskirts, flip flops, etc.  

I'm sure there will be a souvenir shop/stand there, but you're not going to get anything for free except your Playbill.

And PLEASE don't skip out on the curtain call.  That's just RUDE and I see SOOO many people do it!  It's the same as not tipping your server in a restaraunt.  Giving those talented performers their due is more important than being first in line at the Valet stand!
