What should I wear? I also have a hubby who wants to know general "rules" .. Like do they sell concession stuff and can you eat or drink in the theatre. Is there a gift shop or anything that you get for free along with your tickets. I have never been to this kind of an affair and need help!!! Please give me the 411.

  1. Well, what theatre are you going to?  Different theatres have different rules, but I would say that no, most theatres do not allow you to bring food or drink inside the theatre itself.  In the concession area/lobby if fine, but not inside.

As for what to wear, if it's an evening performance, nice slacks/skirt/dress/Sunday Best.  For a matinee, more casual, but PLEASE no jeans, shorts, miniskirts, flip flops, etc.

I'm sure there will be a souvenir shop/stand there, but you're not going to get anything for free except your Playbill.

And PLEASE don't skip out on the curtain call.  That's just RUDE and I see SOOO many people do it!  It's the same as not tipping your server in a restaraunt.  Giving those talented performers their due is more important than being first in line at the Valet stand!

    Enjoy your show! :-)
