  1. Your typical fast-food places are cheap and numerous. Five or six bucks and you get a meal. Not too healthy, and common as anything.

Personally, I really like Not Just Noodles, a little Chinese takeaway on the corner of Yonge and Wellesley. It's right downtown, too! Check out their lunch specials for affordable and delicious dining.

Also, there was an excellent sandwich shop up near Lawrence Park, about two or three blocks north of the Lawrence subway station on Yonge. Can't remember the name of the place for the life of me, but I got a delicious veal sandwich on a kaiser bun for six bucks.

Browse around, stop in at the little streetside restaurants and check 'em out. There are some good buys and delicious foods to be found.

Just a few recommendations for cheap eats.

  3. You could get a hotel room with a little kitchen and then just cook your own food.

Toronto has all the normal fast food places but I don't really find fast food to be that cheap given what you get. For $2-3 more you could get something much better. I'd even just go with cold cuts and some bread over fast food.

Young St has a few of those large pizza for cheap places.

Toronto like any big city has plenty of food services for the homeless. Not sure if you mean that economic nor do I have any information on it but obviously there are soup kitchens somewhere in the city's downtown core.
