Cruise is cheaper, plus you won't spend that much money in food, but you won't get to spend a lot of time at the bahamas, most of the time you'll be inside the ship.  Have fun =)

Depends on the cruise line and on the hotel you're comparing it with.  Go to VacationsToGo.com to get a general idea of cruise cost, or one of the usual travel websites, like Travelocity, Expedia, etc.  One thing to consider:  3-day cruises to the Bahamas tend to be "party-hearty" cruises, which may or may not be what you're looking for.

You can get a very cheap cruise, And if you have never been on a cruise before you will most certainly enjoy a cheap one. A few low cost recommendations would be the carnival Sensation or the Fascination. Royal Caribbeans Sovergn of the seas is another. If you do take a trip the the bahamas a cheap motel will be much worse than a cheap cruise ship. And on the boat your meals will be free whereas if you rent a room on the island you will be paying for your meals.
