  1. The times that I've been to Ecuador, I think I saw less mosquitoes than I do here in the US. You can definitely wear shorts and tank tops or t-shirts, but my parents always spray all of our clothes with Deet about a week before we leave, just in case. Also, if you're going to be in Quito at all, I would say bring a sweatshirt too, because I've never been to the Galapagos, but in Quito, it can get pretty cool out. Have fun, and I hope that helped! :)

  2. I am Ecuadorian currently living in Canada.

Been in Galapagos three times so far. No need to worry about mosquitoes or bugs, if you find some there is no much difference from the mosquitoes we have here in Canada. Believe me, I've ran into more mosquitoes here than what I found in The Galapagos.

Wear shorts, sandals and comfortable clothes, make sure you are advise well ahead of the weather (your travel agency link in Ecuador may well tell you), so as to find out if you might run into occasional rain. Do carry an umbrella to protect from the sun.

Have fun, you'll enjoy. It is one of the greatest experience on earth.

  3. Im Half ecuadorian ( mom's side ) now living in usa.

you dont need to worry about bugs and stuff. Have a great Time there!
