I am going to the Iberostar Punta Cana in Nov. How is the snorkeling off the beach?

It's really amazing! My uncle worked there and took me with him! It was beautiful. Be careful with certain objects though, my friend almost got stabbed on her finger my this plant

Ooooh lucky you.  I stayed at the same place with my partner (first time to Dominican for me and about the 15th... yes the 15th time for him!!! - he certainly loves it).  We don't go snorkelling - he wears glasses and I get claustrophobic but how I would love to.  Everyone we met said it was great!!!  You will love the Iberostar if it is still the same standard as 2 years ago..  Wish we were going back there but got a good deal on Gran Ventana Beach Resort Playa Dorado North - he wants to go beginning of Sept  but I really need to go last 2 weeks but we have heard so many conflicting views on when is best because of hurricanes.  Have you been to Gran Ventana if so how did you find it?  My Partner visited there few years back and said it was nice then?  Any info on there or hurricanes will be much appreciated!!  Have a great time - I just know you will!!!

The snorkelling if you go on a boat to the reef is amazing. There is a huge assortment of fish and creatures

November is in the hurricane season so it is possible that you will have some rains (15 to 20 min.) and then sun again.

Snorkeling is very nice in Punta Cana the waters are about 25 meters deep. Enjoy it!
