I live here lol.

Leeds town center is great to go out on a night and through the day theres loadsa places to shop. We have buses and a airport and a train station. THeres lotsa fit lads and pretty gurls hehe..

If your more of a geek (not meant offensivley) we have the thackrey medical museum (next to st james hospital) ..its said to be haunted! We also have the royal armouries which is about like old army and stuff i think haha :P

It is like Newcastle, friendly people, lots of interesting places to visit and socialise, but if driving be careful of the two "loops" - inner loop and outer loop. You could be driving for a while. Also really convenient from rail station straight into the centre of the city. Checkout the wiki references for specifics or also look up the local tourist info pages from google.

depends what you are looking for, shopping it's great for that briggate has some great shops, and don't forget to check out the arcades in Queens Arcade, my memory is a bit vague, but Jimmy Savile DJ'd at Tiffeny's nightclub and invented the twin decks there. History there is the Amouries museum  tetley Brewery Museum and a couple of Statley homes  for sport Headingly for the Cricket elland Road for the Football and somewhere else for the Rugby.  Roundhay Park is a nice big park and have a walk through Chapeltown for the flavour.

Enjoy the city it has a great nightscene and the people are friendly.

It is a great city an not far from places like York Harrogate

Lat time I was there .....  1968! .... someone told me you cannot find a virgin in Leeds.  Don't know if that was ever true though!   But I guess you were looking for something a bit more specific!

leeds is a great city really nice and friendly. brilliant for shopping and fantastic nightlife. if thats not your scene its close to sheffield and york which have huge national parks. enjoy.

check out tripadvisor.com  That is the best site I've seen for finding interesting things to do in any city.  They break it down by attractions, dining, nightlife etc.  It's a good site. I use it for clients all the time and I use it myself for every trip i take.
