  1. I would not recommend it, just because it's your job, and that area is very sensitive.  The best way to clarify this is to ask your company, no matter what.  You may think for feel that it is right, as long as you pay it off on time, but it may be against company policys.  I wouldn't do it, I would keep my companys credit transactions,  separate from your own credit transactions.  Just to be on the safe side.  If that is the case, maybe you should apply for an AMEX for your own use, instead of using theirs.

  2. That would be listed as fraud, and they would find out the first time you used it, and goodbye job. It is for company purchases only, yep would be really interesting making a purchase that is needed for the company but am overlimit because you used it for yourself. You will have to keep each and every receipt for every purchase you have made and submit monthly, if you do not you will be held responsible for that amount. Part of the government controls over business credit cards.

  3. It MAY be ok depening on company policy.... but I would HIGHLY doubt it.  Most corporate cards are issued in your name and require you to pay the balance off in full each month out of your own pocket.  You then submit reciepts to the company for reimbursement.  Any thing they do not approve of they will not pay.

At my work, if you have an unpaid balance on your card at the end of the month they will deduct it from your paycheck.  I have seen two people get their cards taken away for using it for personal purchases, but havn't seen anyone get terminated.

It all depends on your companys policy.

  4. yes you can use, but pay to company or card before due date.

  5. No, No, No, absolutely NOT.

A corporate card is for approved corporate purchases ONLY.  NO company is going to let you use their corporate card for your personal purchases.  The card belongs to the company and any rewards for purchases belong to the company as well....since they are the ones holding the account, not you.  The card may have your name on it but it is the company's account.

Using a company credit card for personal business is unethical and will get you fired.......even if you pay off the personal purchases.    If you want an Amex Points Reward card, apply for your own.  Never mix your money with the company's money.

A bunch of Dallas Independent School District employees used their school purchasing cards for personal business and they are all in jail now.

  6. I would not recommend it; but you should check first with your company before doing this.  Does the bill go to you or to the company? Do the rewards go to you or to the company?  You should ask them, not us, if this is acceptable use of the corporate card.
