  1. umm lets see 5'5 for middle school maybe a front row player or setter. I'm 5'2'' and currentley a sophomore in high school and I played setter and back row- I think ur physicly fit enough depending on how much leg muscle u have and how much abs u have you should be good.

  2. Playing at the highest levels of any sport is more mental than physical.  Unless you have a medical condition, you are good enough for volleyball.  The best players are the ones who work the hardest to refine their skills.  The position you play should be the one that best fits your talent and the team needs.

  3. It would depend on what your best at setting, blocking or digging and my guess would be a digger cause you just sound like that type but i could be wrong!

  4. You have absolutely no muscle at all, and I can tell. I'm sure you can't hit it very well.

  5. I'm the setter of the team.. And as long as you can play you'll be fine. Weight and stuff doesn't really matter. Fit and being thin are two different things.

Volleyball doesn't really have 'positions' until you get into higher grades,

but setter is probably a position you could try out for.

theres only about 3 per team though.

  6. Well my coach was like really mad at us at our practice on Monday and he was like "I could a take a group of the most pshyical unfit girls and teach them how to pass..." so yah you could probaly play volleyball, your position will be assigned to you by the coach depending on your strernghts and weakens

  7. your absolutely fit and great to be a setter

    go for it..good luck

im skinny and short and still play with hugh towring guys...lol

just learn how to defend better and yourself

  8. I don't think anyone can tell you from here if you're fit enought to play volleyball. It depends what your skill level is and how dedicated you are in keeping in shape. If you pass the tryouts then that means you're fit enough or good enough to play volleyball. If not then there's always a next time. Use that time to improve yourself.

  9. boy you can do it.

i tried out for my volleyball team and i made it.

it is not that you have to be big you have to have coordination.

go for it =] "you can do it"

  10. There's no way to tell with the information given.  Volleyball is mostly about agility and reflexes, not size per se.  You need to have a coach or other person evaluate your performance; it can't be done over a computer.

Given that volleyball (as I know it, anyway) involves constant rotation, I don't think the concept of a 'position' means much; but varsity play might be different.

  11. i finished my last season of ms volleyball in the spring and t was really fun. You have nothing to stress about its not going to make you better if you do. My adviice would  be that ur coaches prob want coachable kids and want someone who will listen to what they say and try their hardest. I would advise that during tryouts don't mess around with friends or like talk alot just focus on volleyball. UMM ...i don't really know what position you should play but during tryouts u will prob find a position that u like and that ur good at , and if you don't find it ur coaches probably will and they will let you know or put u to play more in that position. I would say you can't really be "FIT" for middle school volleyball. I mean you have to have endurance and arm and leg stregnth but if ur sportive thats fine.

I wish you the best of luck at ur tryouts

and remember, just relaxe and try ur best!!

  12. Ask your doctor for a sports physical.  He/she is the only one qualified enough to give you an honest answer whether you are healthy enough to play.

  13. maybe outside hitter or middle hitter. it depends on how much you practice and how good you are!

  14. It seems pretty good. Volleyball really doesn't involve running. And you don't have positions, you rotate on. But it's really fun!

  15. You sound pretty normal.. That doesn't mean your fit though. If you have done sports before and kept in shape, then yes. If not, it might be a little tougher.

Volleyball doesn't really matter if your fat or not, ive seen plenty of fat decent players before because its not much speed as how fast you can react and respond.
