  1. Make sure you have a good approach down (left, right, left, and so on). Jump and snap your wrist when you swing your arm. Good luck!!! :)

  2. what position do you play?  Setters and back-row people don't usually have to hit.  Plus, a well placed tip works way more often.

  3. Before you hit you want to do your approach left right left then pull your arms back so you can whip up and get a higher jump. Make sure you have a good jump stop so you don't jump into the net. Good Luck!

  4. make sure you have your approach down (left right left) and jump and snap ur wrist when you swing your arm.  best of luck :D

  5. rock*star is right just make sure not to approach the ball to soon

  6. well as you probably already read, you should get an approach.

Though just like serving routines an approch is different for everyone so try different things, but I do recommend try the left right left thing first.

Try to get your timing right because that is major! Good timing and get the ball in your window or it won't be as successful.

And of course snapping your wrist is very important if you want the ball to go down.

Just practice your approch, timing (jumping, your window, & snapping) and whether your hitting frontrow or backrow try using your other arm as a kind of pointer (you know get your elbow up) it also helps with timing (personally)

  7. Work on your approach.

Mark off a 10 foot line at your house.  You should try to keep with the 3 step approach.  It is simpler and is almost as powerful as the 5 step.  If you are right handed, take a large step with your left, a large step with your right, and then a small step with your left.  The last step is called a closure step.  It helps you go up and not out.  Do that approach.  Move quickly back to your starting position.  Do that approach.  Try to do 10 approaches and return back to the starting position quickly.  Take a 1 minute break.  Do 10 more approaches.  Take a 1 minute break.  Try to do at least 100 approaches every day.

Get a volleyball and a wall.  Toss the ball in front of your right shoulder and hit the ball to the floor and bounce it off the wall.  If the ball comes back at a good height to hit, hit it again.  If the ball comes back at a bad height, catch it and toss it again.  You are working on hitting the ball well.  Not hitting the ball often.

Then, try to put the two things together.  Get someone to set you and try to hit the ball.  Hit as many as you can.  Every day.  Do not take a day off if you can possibly practice.
