I can't get him into the doctor until monday and today is saturday is there any advice on what I can do to help the irritation for him and soothe him until I can bring him in to see a doctor?

  1. Some optical infections can lead to blindness, bite the cost and go to the ER for some antibiotics asap, is my suggestion.

  2. Monday will be fine.  The poor little guy will have weepy, goopy eyes, but they don't hurt.

DO NOT touch your own eyes around him.  You'll have it too.  Do not allow him to play with anyone else.  Put his toys thru the dishwasher or clothes washer asap.  Pink eye is the gift that keeps on giving.

He'll get drops and a neosporin like gel on Monday.  It will look day and night better by Tuesday, but do, by all means, continue with the treatment  until it's complete.

Poor little guy.  Until then, warm washcloths will remove the goop for a while.

  3. Just gouge them out ....
