I am happy with my present form, says http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Irfan-Pathan-c1601 – Cricket News Update
Irfan Pathan, the Indian all-rounder, is happy with his form in the current season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) and feels that he has regained his old rhythm.
The left-arm medium-fast bowler represents http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Delhi-c780 Daredevils in the cash-rich league and has been doing very well in the on-going tournament with both bat and ball. He is an integral part of the Daredevils, who have been doing exceedingly well in this year’s
IPL.
The 27-year-old cricketer made his international debut in 2003-04 and made an immediate impression at the highest stage of the game with his ability to swing the ball both ways. Very few left-arm bowlers have the skill to swing the ball back into right-handed
batsmen, but Irfan could do that at will at the beginning of his career.
However, the cricketer from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Baroda-c769 lost form later on, and with that, he also lost his place in the Indian team. He worked on his bowling action last year in the MRF Pace Academy and has come out as a much better bowler. As a result of that, Irfan was recalled
in the Indian team during the One Day International series against the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760 last year.
While talking to The Daily Mail about his recent form in IPL, Irfan expressed his satisfaction but conceded that he needs to pick up more wickets. The left-arm bowler claimed that he has regained his old form and now vows to cement his place in
the Indian team.
Pathan said, “In terms of the way I’ve been feeling, it’s been pretty good, especially the last three matches with the ball. I haven’t given away runs, and the swing has been good, so I feel it is just a matter of time before I get wickets too. The zip I
want to generate in my bowling has been there.”
In the recent years, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Irfan-c64444 has improved his batting skills and now is regarded as a genuine all-rounder, but he is not ready to compromise on his bowling.
"There’s a thought that with all-rounders, sometimes when the bowling goes wrong, there’s always a chance to make it up with the bat, but I don’t think that way,” he added.
