  1. a fancy dress contest for adults and children  whoever the winner is gets a box of chocolates

  2. ○Princess (disney) and Pirate (pirates of the caribbean) Pinata

○Costume party (competition for best dressed)

    ○Treasure hunts

    ○Mini makeovers e.g face paints

    ○Party bags of the theme

○Mini disco (game e.g musical chairs)

○Treasure chest full of sweets or a lucky dip

○Fill a jar with candy and play a guess how many game

    Hope I helped. ☺

    Enjoy the party. ♪♫

  3. Make the party invitations on tea stained parchment to look like a treasure map with x marking your house.

Decorate the table with jewels, strings of pearls and chocolate dubloons.

Have a cake in the shape of a treasure chest, or treasure island.

A big bowl of tropical fruit

    Rum or fruit punch

Ship shape biscuits, or swords decorated with sweet jewels.

Games could include an obstacle course involving climbing rigging, walking the plank, pulling up anchors etc. rescuing a princess.

The old cutting up a block of chocolate with a knife and fork after first putting on a pirate hat, an eye patch and a parrot.

Pass the parcel with pirate related forfeits

Treasure hunt with difficult clues that children and adults have to work together.

A parrot pinata full of sweets -

A model pirate ship in the back garden, depending on how old the children are this could be made out of cardboard, and sheets and a bit of imagination.

A pretend treasure island with a load of play sand complete with a palm tree and buried treasure.

ok I'll stop now takes me back to all the kids partys we've done

  4. you could make a big treasure map (get kids to help they will love this) you mark an X on it then blindfold people and get them to stick a palm tree(again drawn or cut out,use blue tack if you don't want to use drawing pins with kids) where they think the X is. Or you could make it in grid form with out marking the X on it and get people to do it withought the blindfold and before the party decide the grid reference of the treasure ie c5 and place in the envelope and at the end of the party reveal who's won. you could also get a bowl of water and get the kids to make little pirate boats then get them to race them in the bowl of water by blowing through a straw, Good Luck x x x

  5. Cool sounds good, why not create a treasure hunt for both the adults and children, by hiding different things around the house and maybe outside in the garden to, weather permitting of course, have fun, xx

  6. You could ask people to talk like pirates as well as dress up as them.

    Visit

    for tips.

Greet everyone with a wicked glint in your eye, asking them if they have brought any booty. Make one of the adults "Walk the plank", into a paddling pool. have pirate food, healthy and not so. (You might be able to find chocolate coins at http://www.aquarterof.co.uk/choco-heaven...    there are several there. You could fill a jar with them and get guests to guess how many coins in the jar/chest, the winner winning the "dubloons"

  7. Cross-dressing? lol

  8. Look on orientaltrading.com they have lost of stuff for themed birthday parties. Also you could have a treasure chest hunt.

  9. Well you can buy The soundtrack to Pirates Of The Carribean and play it during the party. You can make play a game where you make two teams (evil pirates). Have like a treassure box for both teams and fill it with candy and stuff and have them hide it. Then Both teams can compete on trying to find eachothers treassure.............or you can just invite Orlando Bloom and Jhonny Depp......that will blow your guests away.

  10. Get the children (if they feel so inclined) to put on a small show, that way they get to tell the adults what to do here and there and can have fun with costumes and songs too.

A treasure hunt would be very appropriate.

Competitions for the best dressed princess/pirate adult and child (so that would mean 4 prizes).

Turn all the lights out apart form a torch and tell (depending on age of kids) scary stories.

Lighten the mood with some song-singing or cheerful-story-telling.

Think about games you could invent around people being stuck in towers and being rescued (hide and seek with a twist), or walking the plank and getting wet (apple-bobbing for instance).

    Have fun!
