to buy some items...what should I buy with that little amount of money. I will get more money next month but I need to spend this amount first. Someone is buying me a car seat, and crib. But as of today I have nothing. Please give websites I can order items from because I'm on bed-rest. I need the best prices.

  1. http://www.eBay.com

  2. With $75 I would say to buy some of the basic: Bibs,T-shirts,Socks,Fitted newborn hats, soap, lotion, powder, baby oil, diaper cream, etc.

  3. http://www.toysrus.com/shop/index.jsp?ca...

  4. target.com

    Wal-mart.com

    Babyrus.com

    Babydepot.com

  5. diapers and wipes are a must have as well as soothers (bottles and formula if you are not breastfeeding)

walmart.com should have lots of nice cheap stuff for your baby..if your in the states??? of not you cant order from walmart

  6. Go to  www.freecycle.org, put in your city or a city close to you and join the yahoo group for your city. On there you can post what you may be looking for and people around you if they have it will give it to you. It's a totally free place, everything that is being offered is free.

Someone there will have baby items to help you!

Try www.craigslist.com, go check out the free items or the baby items.

    Congrats on your baby!

    Good Luck and God Bless

  7. Ebay has really good prices on some things. I guess diapers, bottles, and clothes would be the first things you would need to have when baby comes home. Or try pricegrabber.com if your looking for something specific. Also, amazon.com usually has pretty good prices on most things.

    Also, check your local craigslist.org

a lot of people sell lightly used items on there, for half the price you'd pay in a store.

  8. All you absolutely need for a baby is a carseat, diapers, Desitin, clothes for warmth, and a few nursing bras.  Also, something to carry the baby in, such as a sling, is very helpful.  Oh, and baby nail clippers.

You don't even need wipes--you can just use wet paper towells.  You can change your baby's diapers on your bed or the floor.  You don't need a changing table.

You don't need bottles or formula if you breastfeed.

You don't need a crib or all that bedding if baby sleeps with you.

You don't need soap or lotion or powder, or a bath. Newborns do not get dirty.  If your baby gets spit up on her skin, just wipe it with a wet washcloth.

I have more than enough money, and I still didn't buy those things.  They just are not necessary.

  9. Keep an eye on your local craigslist.com...look it the free section, baby and kids section and the clothing section...

  10. target.com even try ebay they always have people selling there stuff on there

  11. I would look on ebay for someone that is selling a lot of things in one cheap bunch.

  12. I would ask a friend to have a baby shower for you.  $75 won't buy you much.  Baby Shower is your best option right now.  Good Luck.

  13. Try Walmart.com

Walmart has the best prices on just about everything. And if you get your items shipped to your local store--shipping is free. You can see if someone will pick them up for you.

    Ideas to get:

    Onesizes

    Bibs

    Bottles (if you aren't breastfeeding)

Crib set (although most are $50.00 & up)

    socks

    blankets

baby book (wher you record all of baby's first few years of life)

    photo albums

grooming kit (nail clippers, brush etc..)

    swing

    bouncer

    stroller

    toys

pacifiers (if you choose to use them)

    outfits

    sleepers

  14. I would definitely advise you checking out your local "freecycle," and you may even have a "cheapcycle" in your area.  These are Yahoo groups that you can search for and select your locality to get the closest group to where you live.  Ebay is also great, but beware of shipping costs.

This probably seems trivial, but nearly all baby products hav websites now that offer "memberships" where you can sign up to receive free samples and regular coupons.  Many of them even allow you to print coupons right off the website.  Example:  www.johnsonsbaby.com regularly has $1-off coupons for Johnson's lotions and baby washes.  This usually will make Johnsons even cheaper than the store brand.  Sign up at www.babiesrus.com; they send out coupons every 3-6 weeks.  A lot of times they will have a store coupon that says like $3 off any 3 bath products; combine this with 3 of your Johnson coupons and you get your bath washes and shampoos and whatnot for about a dollar a bottle.

Huggies.com and Pampers.com both have websites where you can register; Huggies sends free samples and coupons a lot more regularly than Pampers does, but I get them all and buy whichever brand has the best coupon at the time.

Similac, Enfamil and Nestle all have websites for their formula where you can get free samples and regular coupons mailed to you.

Gerber's website usually has printable coupons for both Gerber baby foods and also Gerber clothing and bedding.  Beechnut's website occasionally has coupons for their baby food and sometimes mail in rebate offers.

The Internet can be your best friend when you are homebound -- just do your research with as many websites as you are able to think of!

One last thing to consider; if you know of any people who already have babies, you might see if they would be willing to give you their "spare" diapers (the few left over in the pack when the baby moves up to the next size).  If you could get two or three people to share their unused diapers in each size, that would be a great start.

Keep in mind that when you go to the hospital to have the baby, they will likely send you home with some "starter" formula.  Also, when they bring the baby to your room in its little rolling cart, it will be stocked with diapers, wipes, etc.  Make sure and take every last one of them when you check out.  You paid for them!!
