do you mean its REALY slow don't worry if its that because its the same with all ps3 updates just leave it for a few hours to do its stuff and if you cant find where to update the ps3 you go to ps3 settings i think then click update ps3 or something like that.

If it's connected to PSN, but it takes too long to complete - follow these instructions (for US PS3? for PS3 from another region it's all the same, but download an update from corresponding region site):
