I am having a little disagreement anout cabinets?

can someone please tell me is a kitchen cabinet each individual door to the cabinets or if the cabinet is open alll the way across but has 8 doors is that one cabinet or 8 cabinets????

Cabinet and door widths generally come in 3-inch increments (12 inches wide, 15, 18, 21 ...48", 51" 54", etc.), unles they are custom made. The width and number of doors is then determined by how wide the cabinet is.

In other words, you can have one 12-inch cabinet with a 12-inch door, or one 6 foot cabinet with four 15-inch doors (with a slight gap between each pair of doors). This cabinet would be open from one end to the other, whereas you would have a solid cabinet wall between separate cabinets.
