  1. Make fruit kebobs ... and stick the skewers into a whole fresh pineapple....  You'll have an edible centerpiece then!  ....  Put some little wooden dishes around it (on big leaves, fake or real) and fill them with macadamia nuts and hunks of fresh coconut (most people have never tasted FRESH coconut).....  You can also strew tiny artificial orchids all around (they're on everything in Hawaii)

  2. A plastic tiki glass maybe, filled with flowers?

  3. A whole fresh pineapple surrounded by fresh flowers.

  4. Here's a couple of HOW TO sites:

  5. I had a luau once and just put down a large tablecloth on the floor(it was raining outside)and placed pineapples, bananas, banana leaves, coconuts and other tropical fruits down the center like a runner.  It was very attractive and  we got to eat all the stuff afterward, so it was really free. We had flower leis and the girls wore flowered mu-mus and wore a flower behind their ear like the natives. I had Hawaiian music to play, but the electricity went off.  We lit candles and continued with our feast. Go to your florist and ask if you can have all the flowers they will be throwing way because they aren't perfect.  My Mom use to use these to practice doing flower arrangements.

  6. Make one out of flowers & fruit.  You can pick your own wildflowers. It's fun, colorful & the fruit is edible!

  7. palm leaves in the table

put a few different candles together and surround with a lei

    simple but lovely
