I am having a small problem in my home?

I am a bit sensetive to other worldly things..enough to know when something is true and when it is bunk.

I moved into my home in July. No feelings of anything "wrong". No spirits or other feelings of concern.

My computer room is on the 2nd floor int he eastern most room. I walk out of the room and go downstairs to fix something to eat. I come back up and the light is off.

It's happened 3 times so far. The switch is physically moved to the down position, so there isnt a short.

I live alone with a cat and 2 dogs.

The house was built in 1910 and is a typical Baltimore City rowhome. I love my house! Whjats the deal?

  1. Apparently there is a spirit in your house that doesn't like you wasting electricity.

  2. "If there's something weird

    And it don't look good

Who're you going to call? Ghostbusters!"

  3. Turn it on and sit there watching it.  You'll be able to see if it turns itself off.  A video camera would make this job a bit easier.

  4. I watched some of that cat video. Maybe you could train your to turn it back on before you come back. I don't think it's your cat. If it is...I'd be worried about my cat if I were you. I liked what somebody said about "did it only go off when you were out of the room". And I guess you're sure you didn't turn it off from habit or reflex. Hmmmm. I'd get the same kind of switch..only a new one. If there's a ghost there..I think you'd want to know. Wouldn't you? Or NOT????

EDIT..Seems like if a ghost was there...your dog would notice.

  5. One time i had a light switch that for some reason didn't click all the way up tho it turned the light on, and after a bit it would snap back down, like maybe something wrong with a spring type thing, buy a new switch and see if it still happens, but paranormal sounds kinds cool

  6. I've seen animals do strange things, especially cats. Cats can become fixated on the stupidest of things - even a light switch. I think your cat thinks the switch is a toy and is jumping up the the switch and turning it off.

If you think it is paranormal related, replace the switch to a modern one-a dimmer with a turn k**b (not a slider switch) and see if it happens again.

  7. if it isn't a switch problem, then all i can say is to research. research who previously lived in your house and what associations they may have with your house. or who built it and what associations they had etc. etc. or it may have been that there is a house with a similar computer room like yours and the spirits are confusing your room and the other room and is playing with you. what ever you do, do greatly acknowledge the problem. act as if nothing really happened and shrug it off. if you keep acknowledging it, there is a high possibility that the paranormal activity will increase or you can develop high anxiety or any other psychological disorders. don't get too caught up on these activities.

  8. The light in my hallway used to do that (we moved in a year ago), it was on a dimmer switch and sometimes we'd come home at night and it would be on...other times it would be 'fluttering' between on and off...we replaced the dimmer with a normal switch and don't have the problem anymore! Try that :)

  9. I think there is general agreement to try a new swicth. but I would have to ask, does it ever go off when your in the room? or only when you leave it.

  10. Thats easy, you are in such a habit of turning the lights off when you leave that you dont even notice you do it.

    I do that too.

Its not a ghost, those are fictitious creatures. Your sensitivity to the other worldly things is really just your imagination and pride. You want to feel like you have some special ability that noone else has.

Remember, just because they have a television show about something, doesnt mean its real.

    Peace out.

  11. check out

this website has some experienced people who

can help you  e mail them.

there are also over 12k stories  people have sent in of their experience.

  12. It could be a faulty switch that slowly turns itself off.  Try replacing it with a new switch, and see if that cures the problem.

  13. watch you're cat and dog, animals are very sensitive. have them in the room with u while on ur comp.

  14. Put a little piece of tape on the switch to hold it up, if it still happens then it maybe paranormal.  A 'green' ghost that runs around turning off the lights,  is Al Gore dead!?  LOL
