I am having tons of candy, a chocolate fountain, and a salt water taffy bar. Any other ideas you have about my party are helpful. But it is in the winter so going outside is difficult. I am having it at my house.

  1. You could have a gingerbread house contest - best house, judged by the birthday girl of course(!), wins a prize.

Have a pinata, or more than one, around the room to break open at diff times during the party.

  2. make everything around candy-colored (bright and tasteful)

  3. Wow the theme seems cool

Well maybe you should truth or dare

  4. how about giving out mini candy bins as party favors??  There are some on this website that are REALLY cute:

    http://elegantlabels.com/giftpackaging_s...

  5. Cotton candy booth

Photo booth - or have a photo area that you decorate with a backdrop of candy items.  The could hold oversized pieces of candy or lollipops.

You could have a Candyland tournament - maybe you could recreate the board on the floor and the guests can be the actual game pieces.  You could do cards on posterboard.

Scavenger hunt - use clues from slogans to find candies.

A “Candy Buffet” - gummie bears, peach-o’s. pockey sticks, reeses pieces, starbursts, rainbow twisty lollipops, etc.  Chinese take-out boxes tied up with your color themed bows on the handles can be included for the guests to start packing up some candy to go.

  6. Here is the ultimate candy site.  They have cute lollipop centerpieces and cute lollipop invites under sweet 16.

You can easily make these centerpieces yourself and even the invites.   http://www.candyspirit.com/

    Get personalized candy bar wrappers.

Get personalized M and Ms from their website.

Get personalized hershey kiss stickers or make your own, just buy circle white stickers and a stamper ink pad and an initial rubber stamp.  Stamp your initial on there and stick on the bottom of a hershey kiss.

Buy styrofoam and shape into candy disks and cover with colored saran wrap and make into a large hard candy decoration.  You can also make large suckers the same way using a wooden dowel as the stick.

They sell llarge ollipop inflatables on the internet at windy city novelties.

Give candy necklaces, bracelets and ring pops for favors.

Buy a sweet 16 lollipop mold.  Melt pink candy melts.  Lay stick on mold.  Spoon  into mold, freeze for 5 minutes.  Put in lollipop bag and tie with tie that comes with the bags.  Factory card outlet sells the melts and favor and stick sets but you can buy them at craft stores like Michaels.  You can use the included tie or put a pretty pink ribbon around it.  I was able to get 9 suckers out of the 14 oz bag of melts.  I had 1 mold that made 3 suckers.  Get more than 1 if you want to do this quicker.  The mold was only 2 dollars on ebay.

    Activities:

    Pinata.

    Limbo.

    Twister.

Take a cupcake tray.  Put a piece of a candbar in each hole.  Melt in oven.  Then blindfold guests and have a tasting contest.  They have to guess what kind of melted candy bar they are tasting.  Have a prize for whoever does best.

Chinese conversation hearts:  Take conversations hearts or any other candy pieces you think will work.  Put assorted shaped candies in a small bowl.  Have a timer and each person has to put a hand behind their back and with chopsticks pick up the candy pieces and put them in a separate bowl.  Whoever wins gets a prize.

Fill a jar with some kind of candy pieces like M and Ms.  Count every one.  Have a guess game.  Whoever comes closest wins a prize.

play bingo using candy as chips.  Have candy prizes.

This game is fun but messy.  You put a certain numberof  pieces of candy like candy corn on a foil pie plate  Cover the plate bottom with whipped cream.  Everyone has to put their hands behind their back and put their face in the whipped cream to find the candy and eat.  Whoever eats all theirs first wins.

  7. lol make a candy fashion show. have some of your friends wear candy outfits. or make it a competition. best costume gets 20 bucks. lol. idk....i never heard of that theme.

  8. have your guests make their own candy apple as a souvenir.  have caramel or candy apple dip (the red one), then tons of toppings to roll the apple in, such as nuts, crushed oreo, red hots, etc.

you can also do a fear factor game, in which at least one ingredient of the mystery food is candy.  your guests will have to figure out what candy is hidden/mixed in with the other food.

i love the theme of your party.  have fun!!!

  9. Something having to do with peppermint.  They warm you up, and are now available in a lot of colors.

  10. You can set up an ice cream bar.  Get chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry ice cream and some toppings. Sprinkles, chocolate syrup, whipped cream, and marachino cherries and have everyone make their own sundaes.  You can get the plastic sundae glasses at the dollar store or get the waffle cone bowls at the grocery store.

You can do a pie eating contest, BUT instead of pie, fill the tins with whipped cream, whoever finishes first wins!

Pinata! Being it's a candy theme, you have to have a pinata! You can find one you like at the party store and then in the same aisle they have big bags of pinata filler, and they'll still be room for you to add other favorites of your room.

You can do candy trivia.  Look up some candy slogans/or facts and have them guess the slogan that goes with that candy.  The person that guess the most right wins.  For example:

Melts in your mouth, but not in your hand:

    m&ms!

Named after a NY Yankee player, but it really wasn't:

    Babe Ruth!

    A Rainbow of fun:

    skittles

Who put their chocolate in my peanut butter? Reese peanut butter cups

You can go to the different candy websites and see what their slogans and facts are and use this for the trivia.

You can also do a game of listing all the songs that have Candy in their title.

You can do the same with movies, etc

You can do a pie eating contest, BUT instead of pie, fill the tins with whipped cream, whoever finishes first, wins!

You can also get some candy bars and different kinds of candy, have everyone make a story or some kind rhyme with the candy.  Choose two or three people to be judges and then whoever they choose as the winner wins.  What you would do is, give everyone a piece of foamboard and let them choose what candy they want, skittles, snickers, 3 musketeers, hershey kisses, etc and they have to make a story with those candies taping them to the board.  Here's an example if I'm confusing you:  The 3 Muskateers were sitting around talking when one went into snickers.  He said he thought about kisses and hugs with a girl who loved skittles and rainbows.  You would then put the candy where they fit in the story and tape them there.

I hope some of these ideas help and that you have a great party and a very Happy Sweet 16!!
