  1. Go the Dollar Store, if you have one in your city....they are all over Texas, where I live.

They have all kinds of cheap items to choose from. OR go to Goodwill or the Salvation Army stores, to buy cheap items...but I have to ask....if this is a "Treasure Hunt", why would anyone (other than the one hiding the treasures) have to buy anything? IF someone finds one of the "treasures", it should be free for them to keep. "Finders Keepers!"

  2. How old are you?  Curious, because I'm not sure a treasure hunt will be appropriate for a teens birthday activity.  Maybe better for a younger crowd?  I can't honestly imagine what you could buy cheap... then sell.  Where would you sell it? To your friends at the party?  Besides, for a treasure hunt, it should be things that already exist.  Depending on what climate you live in, there are all kinds of things outside, plus things can be hidden in places.  You could have some inexpensive prizes, but everyone should get something.  Like favorite candy bars, or something of that nature.  But buying things for the treasure hunt shouldn't be necessary.

  3. Wet and Wild nail polish. They have cute colors and are relatively cheap. Cheapest nail polish anyway. Can be found at Walgreens.

Scented erasers in cute colors/shapes. Can be bought at Walmart or any office supply store

Claires has lots of little trinkets. Try there

Have a good Treasure Hunt :)

  4. go to the dollar store and buy candy, you can't sell it but at least you and your guest can enjoy it and it won't cost alot.
