I am having car trouble...i have to keep giving it gas or else

Question

Ok here the deal, just now, i was comming home and when i started my car it kept stalling, if i kept giving it gas it would keep running but no idle. I had to drive home that way..keep giving it gas it stalled at stop signs ect... it just started today, no dimming of lights or radio...whats up?

have you checked to see if the injectors may be dirty. or i had a similar problem once and it turned out to be the computer.

When was your last tune up?

This may be all that is needed if routine maintenance has not been done! See owners manual!

it sounds like fuel problems. change the gas filter and see if that helps.

Give some info about the year,make,model. What size engine,how many miles. Is it an older car with carb. or fuel injection?

Need more info to help you. It might be a fuel filter or something simple.

you may need new spark plugs. But i would jus take it to your local mechanic so an expert can check out the problem.  Doesnt sound like a serious problem tho.

insufficient data...is it carburetted or fuel injection ?!
