I am having issues trying to hook up my Laptop to my LCD TV ?

I recently hooked up my laptop to my TV. I am using a VGA connection and see my computer screen on my TV but I get this annoying flicker that is definitely coming from my computers end. How can I stop this flicker? BEST RESPONSE GETS VOTED BEST ANSWER!!!!

  1. Make sure you are using a compatible resolution. The 60Hz refresh rate is probably your best bet, but try every resolution possible. My guess is that its probably just an incompatible resolution.

    try 1024x768 first and move on from there. How big is the LCD TV?


  2. Hard to answer this question with out all the info but try changing the refresh rate...

    Right click desktop then choose properties then settings tab then choose advanced... then monitor then change it to 60 if its already at 60 try to move it up to highest which may be 75..
