The game called Encore. I think there is actually a board game for it, but you can make the game yourself. What you do is you split your party group up into teams. Ahead of time you will have made a deck of cards with words or phrases on each card ( examples: love , rain, heart , exc... whatever words/ phrases you can come up with). One team will pick a card and have to sing a song that has the word that was picked in it if they get it right , then its the other teams turn to answer .They have to come up with a song that has the word chosen in it. If they can't then  other team wins that round and gets a point and you go on to the next round. The team keeps going back and forth in a round with the same word until one team can't think of a song.  

Another game that i played at my Halloween party when i was 14 , was man hunt . Its a hide- and go seek tag game. There are two teams. One hides and the other tries to find and tag the other team mates. There are jails in witch the taggers put the tagged into. Team mates may free their teammates in jail  by touching their  arm/ hand , but there is usually someone from the other team guarding the jail....so its a challenge. This game is best played in the dark. However , it probably wont  be a good game for a dress party.

Some type of scavenger hunt where you split into teams and have to go around doing crazy things (and document it with a camera) and whoever does all the things and gets back to the base first wins

or

a dancing competition (you could switch up the styles - square dance, robot, etc)

or

classics like charades or pictionary
