Cheap easy appetitzers that went over well at our party:

    Taco Dip:

    2 softened cream cheese.

    1 16oz sour cream

    1 packet taco seasoning.

Mix with mixer. Put in bottom of a cookie sheet. Top with shredded cheese, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes and green onions. Use the cheese but you can altered the rest to your taste, maybe add black olives. Make 2 of these. Serve with tostitos scoops.

    Fruit bowl,.

Whole pineppple into chunks. Slice strawberries. Add whole table grapes no seeds, add chunks of watermelon, and cut oranges in slices cut into triangles. This is best made the night before so that the juices can all run together and stir before serving.   You can use the watermelon and pineapple as bowls for the hawaii look:  http://www.dierbergs.com/NR/rdonlyres/et...

    Silver dollar rolls:

It is just shaved deli meat and cheese triangles. You dont have to put lettuce on them, ours did not have it. t. The ones that we had catered just had real butter on them and they had mayo and mustard packets on ice on the side.

    PUPPY CHOW

6 cups Crispix cereal, any offbrand chex like cereal is fine.

    1/2 cup peanut butter

    1/2 cup butter

    12 ounce chocolate chips

    2 cups powdered sugar

Melt peanut butter, butter and chocolate chips together in the microwave or on the stove. Stir into cereal. Put powdered sugar in a paper sack. Put cereal mixture in and shake until well coated.

    I hope this helps you.

    wear a hawaiian grass skirt?

  4. WELL... you can get some clear cups from the dollor store... buy some oranges and lemones and  blue gatorade..pour blue gatorade in cups... slice oranges and lemons into thin slices with a little slice through the middle then stick the lemons and oranges on sides with a straw....there you go you can frost the cuos ir d what ever u want with them

  5. buy ALOT of cheap flower necklaces, grass skirts, and fake flowers at a dollar store for each table and guest...buy or make some tiki masks for the walls.. make some surf boards with styrofoam and decorate them..lots of tropical fruits on every table like pineapple coconuts oranges etc...maybe buy some sand and a small inflatable pool for a beach area...have sunglasses and buckets and shovels all over the place...have some beach chairs everywhere for people to relax...for food have...pineapple uspidedown cake, nuts, smoothies, fruit punch, fresh fruit and granola and honey toppings...lay some beach towels on the tabels or chairs or even the ground...buy small-medium palm trees,or make some with conrstuction paper and stick them all over the walls...when people enter throw some leaf or flower shaped conffetti, you can make it with shaped hole puchers....and most of all   HAVE FUN AND BE CREATIVE!!!!!! HAPPY B-DAY AND HOPE I HELPED!!

  6. $50 is not very much if you are buying decorations AND food with it.   (For example, just a cake bought at Wal-Mart that will feed 25-30 people costs around $30......but you can make one yourself for much less.)

As far as decorations go........check out your local 99 cent store or dollar tree (or any other store where everything inside costs a dollar or less.)   Lots of these stores will have things that you can use.

Also.....a bag of "play sand" at a hardware store costs about $2.00.......you could use the sand to give the "beach" feel.

Sorry I didn't have any more suggestions......I really can't think of anything that would just be lying around the house that would go with a Hawaiian theme.

    Good Luck with your party!

  7. You can buy a limbo stick!!
