  1. Just keep breathing, that's the most important part!

Look over your performance, remember that you really want to have fun doing this, and get the recital into your head.  At its most dry, it's just a checklist of things to do, so you do them in order (checking off a checklist? no problem!); but dancing is more than that, you want to have fun with it too.

But trust me, breathing is the most important part.

  2. try to relax!

I always freak out B4 recitals but it is nothing to worry about.

If you are worried about forgetting steps here is a trick...

~Lie/sit down and relax, take a few deep breaths

~If you have the music for your dance turn it on, but you don't need it.

~ In your mind go over the steps in the proper order.

~You are pretty much doing your dance with out moving.

~don't rush through parts...that is why the music helps.

~do this a few times... you can do it the night B4 the show as you go to bed b/c that is supposed to help your sub conscious  absorb it.

Try to chill! It is only a few minutes on stage then it is over.

The more fun you try to have with it hte better you will feel.

    Good Luck!
