I am having my legs waxed tonight for the first time and am worried that the hair is too short!?

The hairs on the front of my legs are definitely long enough but the backs of my legs seem to be a bit shorter and seem to have taken much longer to grow. Will this be a problem?

  1. The Therapist will wax everything that will come up and tweeze away any visible hairs that did not get removed with the wax.  If they don't, get another Beauty Therapist!

Edit: It is her job to make sure you leave fuzz free, Any visibile hairs will be removed.  Any that come through after you will just have to shave off I'm afraid

The hair grows in 3 stages, I'll not bore you with the science but basically some hairs lie dormant under the skin, some hairs are through and some hairs are in the process of coming through.

Waxing will only remove the surface hairs so hairs will start coming through (usually after a couple of weeks)

Once you have been waxing regularly the hairs will take much longer to show as you've had all 3 stages removed and a new cycle is beginning.  Let me know if you need any more info I'll rack my brains!

  2. The only thing you can do is just go along + then see what they say. It should be fine + there shouldnt be any problems =] + btw, its natural for the hairs on the back of your legs to be shorter =]

  3. possibly...just wax what you can and shave the tiny hairs that you didn't catch.

  4. Usually about 2mm is a good length. If unsure best to ask the therapist BEFORE you pay, that way if they can't wax it you can complain!

Try exfoliating your legs before as removing dry dead skin can help lift up the hair.

    Good luck

  5. its fine

but omfg !!! it hurts like h**l

  6. Ideally the hairs should be 1/4 of an inch

  7. I waited three weeks and still my hair wasn't quite long enough, but it depends on the individual! I was told to come back in a week or two. Best thing is to speak to them and say how long you've let the hair grow, and see what they say.
