I got it almost set up but without the rails. I am trying to level it without the rails and it seems that whenever i hit the ball slowly the ball rear either to the left or the right a lil at the end of the run. Someone said to put the rails on and then spirit level on top of the rails. Is that how you do it? I need help by a Professional.... HELP!!!!

  1. Put the rails on it and then level it.  You can use a level to do it, but put it on the bed of the table.  Its easier to have help.  Put the level length wise on the bed and have someone watch it and raise 1 side until its level.  You can take a block of wood, and use another block of wood as a lever to raise the leg enough to turn it.  Then turn the level width wise and put it between the first set of diamonds closest to the rail, then take the blocks and raise or lower the legs until you get them level, then repeat on the opposite end of the table, then check it length wise again to make sure its still level, if its not raise or lower both legs the same amount of turns on 1 side until you get it.  It sometimes takes a bit, but sometimes you get lucky and it goes easy.  Best way to start is s***w the legs all they way in and then turn each 1 and 1/2 turns out, so you will be pretty close right away.  Best of luck!

  2. You answered your own question: You need a professional to help you. Call a pool table retailer/wholesaler in your area. You can also call a familiar pool hall or bar and ask someone who has experience with assembling AND leveling pool tables.

NOTE: The table should be fully assembled (rails included) BEFORE leveling.

I understand your frustration, but frustration won't resolve your problem. Keep your cool, and gear your energy toward finding practical resources in your area.

Hang in there -you'll get your table together. Keep a level head, and don't rush your project. It's better to do it right than to try to throw it together in a hurry. Be thankful that you even have a pool table. Keep things in perspective.

Now, make a few phone calls.

    All the best -

  3. inclinometers are better than spirit levels, they give a digital read out of the angle from level, and are a lot more precise than anyones eye looking at a bubble in some liquid.

But it sounds like you almost have it. It can be a footery job, back and forth between all the different points adjusting checking and then readjusting that bit that was level and now isn't.

Are you sure that the ball isn't hitting a mark on the cloth that is causing it to veer off?
