Question:

I am having problems with Anchor Worms in my tank?

I was told to treat my tank water with Life Bearer drops. I have done this three times and my tank is still polluted with them. I removed the filter, drained my tank half way, and filled it back up with clean water. Does anyone know how to get rid of them? My local pet store was NO help! Thanks! Just to let you know, the worms in my tank are so tiny, you have to be right up next to the glass to see them.

  1. Anchor worms are usually found hanging from goldfish.  The worms you have do not sound like anchor worm to me.  They are probably harmless to your fish but if you want to get rid of them there are probably some fish species you could try.  Since you don't say how big your tank is and what kind of fish you already have in it, it's a bit hard to suggest something.  Guppies and gouramis might be good to try or even cherry shrimp.

  2. Whatever, fish I've kept there's always been a pair of Gourami's in the tank just for this problem.
