I am having recurrrent dreams of an ex-boyfriend from 20+yrs ago that I am currently communicating with again.

My dreams have been related to things that we do or talk about. I am usually making choices regarding things he offers me. The first dreams were about 5 item choices. The items were edemame pods,breadsticks & baseballs. I always choose the middle item of the five offered. With the baseballs the middle one was badly worn. It was soiled, tattered & torn. I reached for it & he told me I needed to take one of the new ones because they weren't worn out. He said they would use it in the next game. The latest dream was about him being at war & coming home w/ a group of injured soldiers. When he got off the plane he had really short hair & he was not wearing his glasses. He looked tired & was using a cane. He had a gold band on his right index finger. As the injured soldiers walked by I reached for his hand. He grabbed mine & we walked together.. He nodded his head as if to tell me he was ok. As we walked on our hands separated. I fell to the ground on my knees & sobbed. Then I woke up.

20+ years ago when you seperated, how was it done? Did you cast him aside for something new, or did you cast him aside for someone old that you'd already been with? If the second is the case, this is why you chose the warn out baseball & he told you to pick something 'new' - he wanted you to pick him, not go back to what you already knew...

The 5 choices of items are relating back to the same thing. Whatever caused you two to end it, there must have been a lot of different problems, and when push came to shove & it was time to say 'Bye' - you had to pick from one of the handful of issues, to present him w/ a single problem that would encompass why you were breaking up - it probably didn't help though.

To have a gold band on the right index finger is striking. To dream of the index finger means judgement (since this is the finger we point blame or choose with). To see a gold ring around the index finger would be significant of this man's judgement of you coming clear, or your judgement coming clear of this man (rings mean coming full circle). In other words, a decision will be made soon.

This is further predicted b/c you both held hands & then slowly your hands seperated as you walked on, signifying that over time you have not become closer, but instead have grown apart.  He nods 'ok' b/c he is okay w/ the judgement that has been made (it's your call - that's what this dream is telling you, it's all YOUR call).

You fall down and sob b/c you feel a pain for this loss.
