I bought a computer off of the company i work for but it is running windows 2000. i want to install XP and when i stick the cd in everything pops up and looks like it would work fine. but when i click install windows xp a message pops up and says "setup cannot upgrade your current installation to XP. Your current installation of windows is not a supported upgrade path....setup cant continue." then i click okay and another thing comes up and says..."The wizard did not install XP on this computer, either because you cancelled the wizard, or because an error occured. You can run the wizard again later to install windows XP" Im sure this is extremely difficult to explain over yahoo answers but any help would be great.

THANK YOU!!!

  1. If u have a windows 98 cd u can 'fdisk' your hard drive (wipes it clean nothing on it).. and start from scratch!

is a tutorial on how to fdisk... Hope it works

    (only do part one)

    then try to install XP!
