Question:

I am having trouble peeing lately at the urinals - guys only.?

Hi,

So I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. All my life I have had no problem at all with peeing at the stand up urinals. I am not self confident about 'size' or 'look' in any way shape or form. If I was then I would know what my problem was and I wouldn't be asking this question.

I am confused because this only started recently and I am in no way self confident, in fact I would be willing just to whip it out and and I have no problem with anyone seeing it. Like what I am trying to say is that I wouldn't be embarrassed at all and that is why I am so confused.

No matter how badly I have to go I have to stand there for so long, just to go into the stall. Once I am in the stall I am fine and can go right away.

Again the big point is that I'm not self confident and never have been, this problem just started recently.

Any help would be great. Thanks.

  1. Get over it.  Use john in the stalls until you get back on track.  By the way, I think you were looking for the word self-conscious instead of self-confident.

  2. I used to have that problem, but the solution is so simple- whistle. I swear to god this works. It helps you focus your mind on something else and sort of lets your body unconsciously let you urinate.

  3. you might think that your not self CONSCIOUS  but you may be.  i wont stand next to anyone at a urinal, just wont do it, if there are 3 urinals and someone is at the middle one, i wait... kinda silly but that's my rule... or i just use a stall.  good luck man

  4. If you have an absolute closest best buddy in whom you could confide and would be willing to help you out you could ask him to accompany you to the bathroom as often as possible and stand as close as possible to you.  This'll force your subconscious mind (and it appears that the problem is in your subconscious) to face whatever demon is haunting you and you'll eventually get over it.  Just have your buddy there, aim at the urinal, relax, talk about sports or whatever and let nature take its course.

  5. I had this problem for awhile. Learned to just focus my eyes and mind on a spot on the wall, shutting out everything else. Worked pretty good. This went on for several years, then suddenly no more problem.

  6. You're totally normal. There is no sign of weakness if you can inhibition in letting yourself relax when you know you aren't alone.

The trick is in learning to control your bladder through voluntary relaxation. Try taking deep breaths and focusing, remember it's no big deal how long it takes you, nobody cares, and even if they did, it's none of their business and it won't affect their life if you take a little longer to get started.

Think everyone around you has felt that way before, and some of them are most likely feeling exactly the same, in that moment. It's no biggie.

  7. whip it out and p**s in the sink.
