I am having trouble with my golf swing. I find that I am consistently hitting duck hook or on top of the ball

I cannot seem to get my ball into the air. this developed last week while at the driving range and tonight I consistently hit the same shot. Normally, my shot has a fade to slice but suddenly it has changed drastically and I cannot figure out what I am doing

  2. Maybe you are swaying your body when you swing. You should try to limit the movement.

  4. Its almost impossible to diagnose swing issues without seeing the swing, but here are a few things you might check:

    1.  Topping the ball - try standing a bit closer to the ball.  also, try bending your knees a tad more than normal.  ...or some combination of the two.

    2.  Hooking - typically in my swing a hook is caused by over rotating the hips on the backswing.  If you turn your hips too far back, its hard to do anything but swing from the insde, which produces a draw or hook.  Since you used to fade/slice, I will guess that you are probably pull-hooking (meaning that the ball does not start out way right and hook back left, but it starts left and hooks more left).  If that is the case, then you are also "swinging over the top", meaning that your club head goes away from from your body on the downswing and does not "stay on plane".  try to make sure you are swinging from the inside, if that's the case.

  5. keep your eye on the ball and take practice swings.. mabey start with lower clubs. even pitching at first. the move up gradually.

    praactice your swing alot befor you hit it...listen for the nie brush agains the grass or turf...just dont pick your head up.oh and relax

  6. It's not too late to go bowling.

  8. open your club face and the ball will go higher, like on a sand wedge the degree is so slanted and opened the ball goes really high in the air.

    Try standing closer to the ball.
