  1. You didn't get fat overnight.  It will take time to lose weight.  You can go buy some hand weights and start lifting those.  You don't have to walk to do that.    Start small - like with 1-3 lb weights and work up from there.  If you can't afford weights go get a coupld of bricks from the yard or the neighbors yard and use those as weights.

  2. First of all, don't drink so much water because your cells absorb the excess it doesn't flush out and it adds to your weight and makes you appear bloated.

It would help to let us know how you are disabled.  Can you walk?  Can you swim at all?

Eating a lot of raw fruits and veggies will help a lot, esspecially if you are not able to get up and walk or swim.  There really isn't any quick fix or fast cure to losing weight unless you opt for lipo-suction...which I don't reccomend.

The best thing for you is to talk with your doctor and get on a plan that works for your body and physical abilities.

    Good Luck!

  3. i am so sorry. You could start by having a healthy diet. Something that helps you enjoy food more without excess is really tasting your food and thinking about it. Try eating healthier and dont eat to eat and if you know your full stop.

You can start lifting small weights. Maybe start at ten pounds and work your way up. I dont know if you can, but you could try situps or push ups.

  4. You didn't give me a chance to guess.

  5. eat less and exercise more

  6. work on your metabolism like

cinnamon is really good for u

eat 5 to 6 small meals

all the food u like try make a lower fat of that

portion control know when to say when

have a cheat day when u gone 2 or weeks being good

    keep drinking lots of water

above all u need patience it will help big time and try slowly getting more exercise this has worked so well for me and it can for u iv got faith in u

  7. Try swimming... It did wonders for me...

(You said you can't walk, so I'm assuming you can use your arms)

  8. sorry to hear that, and people can be really mean on here, I know, I am a diabetic and have asked q's that ppl decide to be ruse as heck about and it does hurt, they do not seem too understand that it hurts because they do not live it. But anyway, maybe depending on how you are disabled you could do crunches, sitting on the floor. drinking water does help but it will not do it all for you. I struggle with weight too being diabetic and it is hard for me to just lose weight, especially when I am tired or feeling ill some days, but I try to move around as much as possible thru the day and keep moving all day, but if oyu are disabled I see where your dilemma comes in, I am really trying to think of what to tell you to help, I understand your trouble, just trry doing the crunches everyday like three times a day, and do like 30 each time to start, and up it as you feel you can handle more each time. Good luck, GOD BLESS YOU!

  9. exercise is your best friend - start light and move your way up. You have to eat less and burn more calories to lose weight, there is not quick-n-easy fix.

  10. It's hard to say what you can do without knowing the exact nature of your disability.  I assume your disability makes moving difficult, and if that is the case I recommend that you attempt water exercise.  Check the listing at your local community pool, they will have great aquafit programs, which are gentle on the body, but great for toning and shaping, and burning calories.  My community gym offers a program specifically for people with arthritis (just to give you an example).

As for the weight watchers, stick with it.  Weight Watchers doesn't give you the super fast results that many diets do, because it isn't a diet.  Weight Watchers teaches you how to eat properly.  It is all about portion control, not reducing calories by giving you a list of what you can and can't have.  As a health care professional it is the only weight loss program I recommend, as it gives you all of the tools you need to eat healthy and continue to eat healthy forever.

  11. If you uanble to move, it is key to find out how many calories your body needs daily (this is based on your current weight).  You would need to consume less than this amount daily.  For every 3500 calories you "save", you will lose a pound.  It is possible.  It will take long and it means sacrifice, but you can achieve your goal. Good Luck!

  12. For really quick results, try starving yourself. Your bodys starvation mode will kick in and the pounds will melt off. Good luck.

  13. There must be some kind of exercise program available to the disabled. Building muscle will help to lose fat. So possibly some kind of weight training program. Eating less and eating right is key. Good luck!

  14. maybe visit the doctors who can advice u on how to best excerise to enable and speed up the weight loss process

    take care

  15. I was in an major auto accident in the late 80's, I had to learn to not to fall when I walked, I suffered from migraines and a number of other ailments, I also gained a lot of weight. I am 5'4" and weight about 120ish and I was a swimmer, surfer and diver.

It took me a long time to gain the weight (304 lbs.), I started attending a program at the YMCA call "hinges and twinges", it is a senior class and when I started I was about 33 years old. It is a very low impac aerobics water class. The swim instructor would have to help me in because of my injuries, but once I was in I was very buoyant.

I have gone through several diets, but the one I like the best is the high water soluble; which is any fruits and vegetables and proteins. It also has done wonders for my skin.

I do love my fatty foods like (real) milk and cheese, so I do not deny myself. I try to eat at the same time as often as I can and I also try not to eat at least 3 hours before bed-time.

I have a pool at my home now and walk and swim in it as part of my life style. I have sever arthritis now and will have it for the rest of my life but I do not take medication anymore with the exception of the 800mg of Ibuprofen when I have difficulty sleeping.

I am just so glad to be alive that I am content with the fact that I will never be 120 lbs. again, and my weight does fluctuate about 40 -50 lbs. from the winter to summer.

One step at a time, as long as you move around everyday at least for an hour break it into two 30 minutes sessions. I tried that 8 glasses of water and I spent most of my time running to the bathroom. If you have water in your food you don't need to drink as much.

Good luck and find a little workout regiment that fits you, not what someone else thinks fits you.

  16. i DUNNO WUHT TO TELL YU BUT i WOULD LiKE TO MAKE A COMMENT. UMS WELL SOME PPL LOSE FAT SLOWLY ND SOME LOSE FAST LIKE ME WHENEVER I EAT ALOT OF FATS I GAIN ALOT WHEN I STOP EATING SO MANY FATS I LOSE ALOT. HMM WELL YU GOTTA BE PATiENT JUSS KEEP DOiN WUHT YU DOiNG DRiNK WATER EVEYRDAY AVOiD FATS ND JUSS EAT HEALTHY iM SURE YU'LL LOSE FAT.

  17. A balanced diet and exercise.

  18. there are plenty of exercises that can be done from a sitting position.  remember the old show Sit and Be Fit that was geared for seniors?  Good job on your water intake, that is very important to staying healthy!  unfortunately, with your disability, i don't think you will be able to achieve very fast results.  what concerns me most, is that you seem to have more than a few insecurities concerning your body image.  work on feeling proud about what you are and coming to terms with the body you were given.  i know it may be hard to believe, and harder to achieve, but a positive attitude does wonders for motivation and success with weight loss.  good luck!
