ok i did this body fat calculator thing and it said i was at 27.26 percentage of body fat!! omg is this too much? wow i think it is

all my friends weight less than me and i feel fat. one of them is 80 pounds and is 13. she is Little shorter than me though. i really don't want to be fat. if this i might exercise more (I'm NOT gonna starve my self)

weight-108

height- 5 and 3 inches

i have huge thighs :(

there like 19 inches around! ( i might have gig bones)

    you are VERY normal! 80 pounds is just underweight.

    so don't feel fat, your like right on the perfect dot :]

    so don't worry :) if you feel the need to lose weight,

    try swimming laps, or going on the treadmill :}

  5. Those calculators are total nonsense, ignore them.

    Your weight is totally healthy- actually it is in the 47th percentile, meaning it is in the lower half of healthy.

    Your 80 pound friend is probably shorter than you and probably not as far along in puberty.  She will catch up, adults aren't 80 pounds.

    You don't need to lose any weight.  Don't compare yourself to people- there will always be someone smaller but that doesn't mean you should be smaller.

  6. Question to your question - how did you calculate your body fat?

    If it was done by a certified fitness instructor or physician then they should also tell you if your above/below or average.

    When I joined my gym they first calculated my body fat and explained the result. Also, your weight (108 lbs) measures your entire body, this includes both muscles and fat (and everything else that makes the human body) so weight does not equal to fat...

    Don't compare yourself to others... It really depends on how you feel about your health (notice i said health not body). Personally I'm considered thin and an avid skimboarder and snowboarder but i have bad endurance (health). So my gym has put me on a plan to increase my metabolism...

    Im 13 5'2 103 lbs and i have big thighs. Anywhere up to 35% body fat is normal for a teen girl.

  8. Not that body fat calculators are very accurate, but 27% body fat would be okay for your age. But does seem a little high due to the fact you are only 108, which would mean you don't have much muscle.
