New farm is beautiful Right on the Brisbane River and very near the city. St Lucia is further out and has the University near it. Lovely houses and surrounds. Do you need to live in Brisbane for work? There are beautiful places on the Sunshine Coast and the Hinterland. Buderim, Maroochydore, Sippy Downs are all beautiful.

Hello. Stay to the North side of Brisbane as it is the safest place to be as that is why all my family live around that area. It is great and heaps of good shopping centres and good work as well. It is a nice place to be. Easy to get to places and not jammed with traffice everywhere. If you need any help anytime please email me anytime. Good luck ok...

My personal opinion is the Bayside, South East of Brisbane.

We have lived here for 5 years, with a young daughter.  We feel nice and safe in the area. It's a 45 min drive to the CBD most days.  Plenty of shops and schools.  Nice open spaces, horse riding or boating facilites etc are all available.

It would be easier to identify the Bad areas of Brisbane, as most places are pretty OK really.

Coorparoo heights, camp hill, carindale, chandler(acreage) manly, manly west, norman park, spring hill, hamilton, these are just a couple of good suburbs of brisbane i'm sure other people will have options for you and they may be correct as long as they don't suggest the following. inala, woodridge, trinder park, kingston, logan central, marsden these are all places you should avoid living in.

The southeast/east side of brisbane is not as nice as the westside.

The west/north west side have many great places that provide a suitable environment for children.

I would reccomend paddington, its absolutely beautiful and is a very safe place.
