  1. there's a lot more to Ireland than Dublin. if you really dont like the city, move out to surrounding towns. there's so much to do in Dublin though-its not all drinking! get talking to some locals and you're more likely to have a good time :D

  2. I am sorry to hear you are having a miserable time in Ireland. I am about to go to Ireland for two weeks. I have looked on the Internet and have talk to people who live in Ireland. There are so many beautiful places to see in Ireland. The cliffs of Moher! Castles, Many Many more! Try to take a day trip or just a long drive!  I hope you will try to took look at the rich history and appreciate the beautiful surroundings

  3. I have read your other questions, are you traveling alone? I asume. I did also for awhile though, China, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Thailand. you will be ok. Sometimes it is really hard and I understand. Try to open up and talk to other people who look like they are on thier own also. you will meet other s and it will get better I promise. I remeber crying on the phone in China to my (very ex). Reallly its a good learning thing. Email me!!!

I did it for two months with nobody else. If I can do so can you!!!

  4. Hey just relax and go with it. Head down to Temple Bar to nite always a good spot.

  5. yea i agree it was a complete waste of time and money to go there

  6. i can identify with this, only i was in australia.

i agree wih the other person when they say go out and talk to people.  granted, everyone wan't want to talk to you because they are into their own thing, but i met some great people by just going up and talking to them.  don't worry about rejection because people are sometimes just rude.  who can explain it? but travelling is always good.  you get to experience other cultures and it broadens your mind (cliche of the week).

I would not agree with the person who said to go to temple bar though.  I live in Dublin and rarely go to temple bar.  try anywhere else in Dublin.  Temple Bar is fell of hen/stag parties at the weekend and is just awfwl!

    good luck.

  7. At least you pursued something you wanted to do, even if it didn't work out, at least you tried. Keep your head up and try to meet some new people. Hard to enjoy yourself when you are alone and don't know anyone.
