We just moved here to Sheffield, South Yorkshire. We want to go by car today to seaside. We prefer to go to ocean but not necessarily.

  1. What about Bridlington? Always known as "Sheffield by the Sea". Beautiful beaches, level walking, fascinating harbour. You name it, Brid has it.

Hornsea is another - quiet, and a bit dated, but it has a lot going for it. Again, good beach.

  2. Scarborough is easy to get to from sheffield.

  3. The nearest is Cleethorpes just over one hour M18/M180

  4. Skegness, Ingoldmells & Chapel st. leonards I believe are the closest.

I'd stick to Ingoldmells, a lovely market & fairground.

aswell as the not so good beach.

Cornwalls the best for beaches but not very close at all.

  5. skeggness for the day as there is a beach there and a pleasure beach

  6. You are slightly nearer to the West Coast of the UK- you could head to somewhere like Liverpool, or somewhere in North Wales. That is the seaside, but it is the Irish Sea because Ireland is just over the water.

  7. the out side seating in the forum has been made to look like the ocean, next to where dev green has just been made up
